Elliptical again at Golds Gym as well as riding my road bike 6 miles a day.  Still trying to heal from the hip pain (piriformis muscle).  It's okay you stay positive and have a good attitude.

I did 6.3 miles on the Ellpitical in 1:08 and 6 miles on my road bike this morning.  I'll count two miles as running because I rode hard.

I'm going to start doing the PX90 training.  Anymore, I don't have the time to run races so it only makes since to do something else as well.  I don't have money or time to spend going to other places, because I really have decided to cut back in that area and use it in other areas of fun.

14.10 miles in 2:20 at an overall 9:56 pace.  You have to be kidding me this is the slowest I've ever ran.  I was in pain the whole way,  it was only the last 6 miles where the pain in the hip kind of eased up where I exactly ran at a 8 minute pace.   I ran the Pocatello Marathon course with my wife training for the half marathon.  She ran her first 10 miles ever.

Hopefully I can try and run a little Monday.  The pain has got to go in THE NAME OF JESUS.

Did 10.3 miles at an overall 7:55 pace in 1:21.  The pain really started hurting in mile 4 but I was able to overcome it.  I think it's getting better because I don't hurt or limp after the run like before.  I'm continually stretching and I foam rolled last night.  I do have another Sport massage tonight.  I believe this has helped me overcome and get back to making the tightness on the hip decrease.  Will see how it goes tonight.  Pocatello Marathon is coming up and I've decided if I can run at lease a 7 minute pace I will do it.  I might be able to finish under 3 hours.

Ran up to Olympus Rd. then down Chubbuck Rd. and back to Yellowstone Rd and then back to Alameda Rd and on Mckinley rd.  I did a full loop back to my house.

6.23 miles of pain again with Barry.  The Hip still hurting.  Running is not fun right now.  I think running yesterday and not letting the Deep Massage relax my body might have hurt me.  I've had a massage now the last three weeks.

Horrible run with Barry. Started hurting from the left hip at mile three.  Then the wind kicked in and made the run interesting.  11.11 miles at an overall awful/hurting/pain/torture/not fun/  9:40 pace.

We started below Century on the Pocatello Marathon course.  The weather was a bit chilly and I wore gloves.

Not much pain today.  It started getting uncomfortable around Mile 6.  I ran 8.06 miles at an overall 5k pace of 7:36 in 1:01:18.  Ok I'm a dork, but it felt fun going a little faster when this is usually my recover pace.  Keep praying and allow God to handle my body

No running still at the Utah University Hospital in SLC.  Father-in-law still in critical condition and in God' s hands. We found out that he must have had multiple silent heart attacks, because the doctors have discovered that which caused the blooding clotting around the heart and in turn caused the stroke.  His heart is only working at 20% and the left heart lobe is completely dead.  The techniques to remove the clots around the brain have not worked.  God is in control and our faith in him is our only hope.  Their still trying to treat the clots.  We don't know how much brain damage was done because of the major stroke.

Running wise the hip does feel better.  September 4th till up in the air if I can get in.  But running isn't on my mind right now.

Father-in-law is awake and somewhat coherent.  But the blood clots remain in the heart and brain.  The blood clot is in the Anterior Celerbral Artery http://www.med.harvard.edu/AANLIB/cases/caseM/mr1_t/025.html. Their still trying to figure out how the multiple heart attacks happened. Really no change other than they don't have him sedated any longer.  Still in very serious condition.  We had to head back to Pocatello tonight for work and our kids.

We plan on going back up Friday Lord willing if he's hanging on.  You have to leave it in Gods hands. Were going to take our trailer and stay in the 10 camp site that the Hospital provides.  If anyone wants to run early in the morning on Saturday and Sunday up in SLC let me know.

Running note:  I did run 10.12 miles this morning at an overall 7:10 pace in 1:12:34 but the hip pain wasn't any better after two days off.  I think God is telling me something this year.

ound out today that I have 8 broken ribs with multiple fractions on the ribs. I did situp today and take two steps. But I have an epidural in my back for pain. Along with two front pelvic cracks on right and left. I have a spleen and liver cut and the broken femur with a rod in my leg along with a lower femur crack.. I also have a crack in the butt which isn't bad. Tomorrow I get moved out of ICU into a regular

Room for more physical therapy. I will work using a walker and crutches to learn

To walk without bearing weight on the femur.

Long recovery but God is Good ans I could be dead. The ribs will

Be a challenge.

Did two sessions of physical therapy and again amazed the PT how well I'm responding.  Walked up and down the hall twice in the afternoon and evening with a walker.  Practice standing up without putting weight on the left leg.  No real pain in the femur or pelvic, but I can feel the lateral and posterior cracks in the ribs.

Tomorrow more of the same.  Just improve each day and be patient for a long time.  Tomorrow will be 6 days in the hospital.  My hotel hollywood.

One good note my wife got me a ultimate grilled chicken sandwhich from Wendy's.  I've ate nothing but healthy stuff since the accident.  They started letting me eat on Friday.  Not eating a lot just enough to get protein and nutrients in the body.  I've ate nothing but healthy things like I said.  I bypassed the Hospital dinner choice which was Roast Beef with Gravy and Chocolate Pudding with whip cream for the Wendy's grilled chicken sandwhich. I got to pick my menu for tomorrow.

My goal words:  Trust in God and improve each day.

I Got to go home.  Did rehab on the stairs at Hospital and was let go at around 3pm.  We had a little spill or incident getting me out of the car at home.  But I'm ok, (the ribs screamed at me and I'll leave in at that.  I'm sore and tired but doing ok.  Can't go back to work for at least two weeks.  Have to see the surgeon tomorrow or Tuesday about treatment on the leg and what the plan in.

Excited to be home with family.  Now to work to get better.
