It was 3 degrees outside today when I started running... really nothing to explain how cold that is on your face.  The foot wasn't bad today.  I could run without a limp, but there still was pain, but it was 40% - 60% better than yesterday.   I took it easy and ran 5.15 miles at an overall 7:20 pace.  I did the last mile in 6:40 and that's when the pain increased trying to run faster.  I believe it's on its way to recovery.  I'll just take it day to day.  Hopefully that last faster mile didn't affect anything, but I needed to get back home.

It was 2 degrees when I started running this morning.  My foot was hurting, but I wasn't limping.  After about 4 miles I forgot about the pain.  I ran 10.52 miles and keeping it easy at a 7:24 pace in 1:17:45.  My fingers were not bad with the mittens on, expect one finger was numb and took some time to thaw out.  Some toes on my left foot were numb but nothing serious.

I might take Friday off to see if I can run the race on Saturday.

No running but good service and message on sin.

We don't  have to yield to temptation if we do then sine will began.
If you do yield to sin how do you get back to God.

! Corinthians 10-13

1. Admit you've grown cold.

2. Find someone you can be accountable with.

3.Return to bible study.

4. Begin memorizing scripture.

5. Develop immediately a consistent prayer life.

Very nasty today 5 degrees snowing all night and still snowing when I ran 10.33 miles at an overall easy 7:55 pace in 1:21:46.  With the wind chill it was -7 degrees.  You could feel the cold breeze on the face like being in a walk-in freezer.  Hands little numb after run.

Went to the Gym with Barry and we ran the Treadmills. I did Speed Work with my foot having some pain. Did 10.6 miles at an 6:20 pace. Then I went to the doctor to have him check the decreased lump on my shoulder and the antibiotics did the trick, it's better. I also had a X-Ray done on my foot, and there's no fracture. He said it could be a stress fracture. If it continues to hurt for 3 or 4 weeks then he wants to do a MRI to see if it's a stress fracture.

Ran 8.26 on the home treadmill.  Didn't have a lot of time because of a morning meeting.   Home was the best option.  My TM is just as good as the gym ones anyway.  I was sore today and tired. Haven't ate enough food this week I think because of the weird work night.  It always messes the eating up.  The soreness is the increasing of the bicycle sit-ups and push-ups.

I ran 15.31 miles today in a nice snow fall coming down with the wind blowing at me for the first 8 miles.  Not much traction on the roads, but I couldn't handle another day on the treadmill or I would need to be committed to the Blackfoot South where the crazy ward is located.  I would have ran outside today if it was 30 below.

Warm this morning in the 20's I believe.  I ran 8.31 at a 7:28 in 1:02.  I slept in this morning and didn't have time to do 10 like I wanted to.  I've been sore for a couple of days near the groin because of the extra bicycle sit-ups and push-ups I think.  I tried opening it up in the last mile and I pulled something in my groin trying to extend over some ice.  Very, Very sore.   I'll have to see if I can run tomorrow or even walk without a limp today.

Tonight:

Still sore in the groin area and don't know my status for tomorrow if I can even run.  Maybe I shouldn't run for the rest of the year and quit blogging.

Ran 10.22 miles with Barry this morning.  Just a slow conversational pace 7:53.   28 degrees or something that felt like we were sunbathing.

Helping our church gift wrap present today for a fundraiser.  I just love wrapping its my highlight in life.  Later Christmas shopping!!! I didn't do enough online.

We ran into Bill Mandler at the end of our run.  He was headed out to finish his run.  He tried to caught us this morning but we couldn't hook up.  My fault I should have called him.  He's an awesome guy and great to have a conversation with.

Foot?

Evening

While My son and I were out and about shopping.  He wanted to sprint to the store every time we parked so I did so as well.  We parked about 100m's out every time and probably ran a mile with all the stores we went to.  But I'll only count 1/4 of a mile.

30 degrees today with a little snowfall last night  (it's snowing right now).  Ran 10 miles with Barry nice and easy, because of my foot issues.  Then I added an extra 2 something to see if I could speed up a bit (7:07, 6:48)  didn't want to push the foot too much.

Total 12.33 miles at an overall 7:19 pace in 1:30.

Ran with Barry today up Satterfield Rd. and back down on Olympus Rd. in snowy, windy conditions.  My foot didn't feel as bad today so I tried a little bit of pick-up miles towards the last half of the run.  But I wanted to make sure that I ended with a few slower miles on the foot.  Here's some of the wonderful highlight splits in the windy snowy weather (6:57, 6:33, 6:24 flat, 7:01, 7:05, 7:02 easy three last miles).

Tomorrow is suppose to be back in the single digits in the morning.  I will have to make sure the hands stay warm.  I probably will not run as much tomorrow.

Total 13.33 miles at an overall 7;17 pace in 1:36:48.

Ran 11.13 miles today at an overall 6:58 pace in 1:17 with Barry at 12 degrees.  I did some faster miles towards the end (6:25, 6:20, 6:15, 6:27).  Barry kept up pretty good.  I was only doing this for him, because my foot is still not 100%.

One thing I do want to thank the Lord for this year is giving me the competitive desire to run when it hurts.  I've always been able to do things in pain and accomplish a task.  I owe that all to God.  He's absolutely wonderful.  My New Year's resolution is to do what he wants for me next year and if running has to sacrifice that's okay.  Guys, it's really been nice knowing you all without the years I've enjoy the time on the blog.

Ran 11.33 miles in the sloppy snow today with Barry.  We took it easy averaging 7:33 pace per mile according to the Garmin..   Very slippery so we made a point to take it slow today.

I'm sore because my wife and I rearrange the house yesterday.  Moving my Polk Audio sound system from the downstairs to the upstairs to our remodel garage family room.  I've been wanting to do this for a while.  I hardly ever go downstairs because that's the girls domain.  I moved two  TV's up and down the stairs plus the entertainment components and entertainment stand.  Also cleaning and throwing away a bunch of junk and stuff we will never use or need.  Found out that my subwoofer died so I might be off today buying a new one.

Also one of my polk audio speaker's was broken sometime ago, because one of the girls knock it off the speaker stand and didn't tell anyone.  I didn't get after them, because it happened sometime ago, and I'm just glad they were honest.  They didn't think it was broken, but they said they knocked it over a couple of times.  It's not attached inside so it just may need to be fused back in place.  I'll open it up and see if I can fix it.  The subwoofer just doesn't get any power so that could be a fuse as well.

Figured I would run longer for the last run of the year.   Since I will be staying up late tonight with the girls watching movies.  Not going anywhere. I want to hear my polk audio sound system upstairs so renting movies and eating cookies with the family sounds good..  Ran 13.12 at an overall 7:12 pace  in 1:34:23 very slippery conditions.   Know need to try anything fast and fall all over the place.

I ran up Olympus Rd and turned off it and ran a few streets uphill close to Satterfield Rd.  I wanted to get the heart rate up a bit and hills will definitely do that.  I wanted to at least in the last mile for the year under a 7 minute pace, and I did so at 6:42.

I'm pondering not doing the blog anymore since I don't have time to really do it as much so if I don't God Bless You all.  You've been wonderful friends and have given good advice for me.  I've enjoyed all the blogging discussions and comments.
