2 Degrees this morning and sunny.  My hands didn't get cold with the hand warmers inside the gloves.  I ran 13.31 miles at an overall 7:28 pace in 1:39:17.  Roads still somewhat slick.  I just took it easy running on Highway 30 and by the Mall and then back down Hawthorne road back to my house.

Very cold at -2 degrees.  Crazy weather to run in.  I did the Olympus loop going almost up Satterfield Rd...  But turned to head down Chubbuck rd.  14.22 miles at an overal 1:47:06 time at an overall 7:32 pace. Just the hands felt cold.  The muscles when you run in this type of weather definitely don't want to move as fast as you would like.

-14 degrees when I went out for 10 mile run today. The body is an amazing thing and you can trust it when your wearing the right clothing. Full UNDER ARMOUR all the way from head to toe today.  I ran to Old Town Pocatello and side streets.  Then over a couple of our overpasses around town and back home.  Pace at this temperature doesn't matter but I was at around a 7:30 overall.  I almost went to the gym, but then evil thoughts of a treadmill were planted in my head.  Frostbite or Treadmill well if I felt I was in serious danger I would have given in to the treadmill.

Last night I fell on my Granite brick block by our gas fireplace right of the rib and then fell on the rib this morning on ice.  Either I cracked it or bruised it.  I know the feeling because I've cracked my ribs three times.   No doctor because they won't do anything.  10.3 miles today.

Only -7 degrees this morning for a 11.22 mile run. Half of what it was yesterday but a little heavier wind... so I guess the wind chill makes it equal. It's so funny watching people drive by in their cars with their ear muffins/gloves on and sipping coffee. All I can think about it how can I get a sip of that coffee!!

Ran on my break to and from gas station.  Only .4 of a mile but its running in 3 degrees

Worst snowfall of the year and I was in the middle of it running for 13.31 miles at an overall 7:41 pace in 1:42:21.  Roads were powdery and hard to find a spot to run on a even surface and feel like your feet have traction.  No where on the roads could I get a good dry stretch.  Plus I had to stay in the deep powder to dodge traffic.

-8 degrees run with Barry for 13.24 miles at a slow 7:58 pace in 1:45:34. We went up the Kirkham trail by Ross Park and it was not plowed. A little bit into it I couldn't feel my feet so I just cruised for a mile to get off the trail and out of the deep snow. I did fall out at Ross Park and cut my knee and was bleeding for the last 6 miles. It was pretty sore than towards the last mile it was starting to feel a little better.

Tonight the knee isn't too bad. We will see Monday.  72 miles for the week and 79 miles last week.  I know I need to blog more :-)

Well yeah... at minus 8 it's like instantly getting ice on your injured knee. I'm surprised you can bleed at all at that temperature!

It was negative something degrees today.  I don't remember.  I ran up Olympus and Fairfield Rd. than back down Bench Rd. and then turned on Hiline back home.  Did 13:22 miles at an overall 7:33 pace in 1:39:55.  Had to go down side streets to dodge the bad streets with too much snow.  I keep hitting my right ankle when I run for some reason and have opened up a cut.  Not sure why my form is doing this because nothing hurts.

I'm still trying to catch up on the hours of sleep I missed from the all night job on one of our systems.  Lower miles this week is a good thing on the body.

12.22 miles in a nasty/slick snow fall just absolutely another crazy run for a runner that doesn't need to be out in this type of weather.  Although it beats being inside stick on the deadmill.  It was very slick and I had to be cautious.  Another long week at work that I'm seeing a lot more long work days.  Firmware upgrades and complex disk configuration changes are on the agenda.

Ran 17.22 miles 7:11 pace in 2:03:44.  Had the day off so I ran 8 miles uphill to Pocatello Creek than  8 miles down and then added a cool down mile or junk  mile I like to call it.  I got done from work at 2:30am and got up at 8:10am and started running by 9am.  Fast day.  700ft elevation gain and drop.

Sorry from yesterday's long run   I just took it nice and slow.  For 11.31 miles at an overall 7:40 pace in 1:26:40.  Just slow and easy and sore.  I wore my heavier cushioned shoes Adidas Tempo 4's.

It really is harder on the legs to want to run fast in the 20 degree weather.

Better run today and not as sore so I did the last few miles with some pickups but nothing extreme.  Ran 13.33 miles at an overall 7:19 pace.  Ran the last few coming down Main St. and side streets at 6:55, 6:58, 6:49, 6:22.  I had to convince myself that I didn't want to be lazy the last few miles and pick it up.  I think with all the miles I'm just really sore.  But I can't convince myself to cut back and run shorter runs

Run with Barry for 12.10 miles at a 7:22 pace in 1:29:10.  Ran down Hiline all the way to Siphon Rd. then turned on Hawthorne Rd.  than a long straight stretch back home.  We ran the last couple of miles faster. Good conversational relaxing run.

Busy rest of the day getting oil changes and shopping.  I had the day off and thatt was nice.

Ran out to Pocatello Charter school and then back home weaving in and out side streets.  Did 13.11 miles in 7:20 miles.  Tried doing last three miles faster but the legs felt tired.  7:07, 7:02, and 6:32.

Had some late nights and the sleep was less which I think takes a extreme toll on the body eventually.

Very tired waking up today.  I had to pick my daughter up from volleyball last night at Highland High School at 10pm and then take her teammate home that the mom forgot about. (How would you do that to your kid staying out in the dark)

Anyway ran 13.3 miles up Chubbuck Rd. and on Bench Rd.    I've had a busy two months of work so running races and events haven't even been a thought.  My mind is just on running each morning before work for fitness and that's it.

Good run, I hope things slow down in your life soon (good luck, right?).

I can't believe you would not know that your child is not home...nice of you to be a good guy and give her a ride home.

Stay strong.

Snow snow for 12.11 miles at an overall 7:25 pace in 1:29:51.  Ran up Hiline Rd. and over old town Pocatello.  just all over where I could find an area that wasn't slick.  Well, that was impossible for this mornings run.  I was up at 3am moving disk Volume's over to our new SAN storage system at work.  I love cloning/moving disk at 3am and then getting out for a run at 7am.  I wish I could do this every morning like I want to get hit by a truck again.

7:12 was the fastest mile and the weather wouldn't allow much more and I was exhausted.

Haven't entered anything here for a while.  Life is taking the fast lane of being so busy.  My son Vance is in baseball two days a week, my 13 year old daughter is in Volleyball two days a week including out of town trips every week. My oldest daughter 17, is running track which I've headed off to her events.  Plus a promotion at work that has adjusted my already large amount of responsibilities makes life absorbed right now, and I never feel like logging anything at night on here.

I have been averaging 80 miles pretty much over the last three months usually running nothing less than 12 miles a day for one run.  The running is keeping my chaos in check.

Did  13.3 miles this morning on a rainy day.  I will definitely try to enter my previous running up to this point at least the mileage.  I hope all is well for everyone else.

Did all the side street 100m up and down intervals.  Raining and Raining.  I believe I need

to start cutting back the 80 mile weeks and do more quality speed miles.  I haven't done any speed. I have no Marathon's in site because I don't have the time and feel the guilt of the cost

for going to one.

9 mile run today on a flat course.  My Sciatic nerve has been acting up lately so I've slowed the miles down last couple weeks to high 50's and 60's.  I haven't posted for a while because my life has really change and have some big things going on.

For one I'm moving to Scottsdale/Phoenix Arizona for a different job with CVS Carmark in their IT systems department.  I will be there by August 5th is my first official day.  I'm leaving Pocatello Idaho on August 2nd and staying the night in St. George at a Hotel then traveling the rest of the way there.

Running right now is going to decrease and I will focus on some cycling to get my Sciatic nerve pain some relief.  But I still plan to run each day just less.

How's the transition going? I'm 6 weeks into my move and in some ways it still seems like I haven't even started here and in others it seems like it has been years...

Its definitely different the Big City Environment. I feel like you a lot to learn and you think it's overwhelming then you accomplish and feel good again. Back and forth between a lot to learn and starting to feel comfortable. I miss my family though and haven't seen them in two weeks.

Any word on their ETA? Or does it depend on house sales? I hope it is soon. Have a great week.

Haven't posted forever.  Life in Arizona is going good.  I don't run as much anyone only between 6 to 8 miles a day including weekends.  Right now just too busy doing other things and trying to settle in to a new job and new state.  Everything is different from a small to big city where I drive 23 miles to work everyday.  No races plan just running for fun.  Even though I'm running less I've only missed three running days in the last 4 months.  I've been running on Sundays but I just cut the mileage each day.
